Former Allis-Chalmers plant will be replaced by hotel as part of sprawling $80.5 million development project in West Allis
By the end of next year, a $14 million extended-stay hotel could be standing at 70th and Washington streets on part of where the massive former Allis-Chalmers office building is now.
Also, the West Allis-West Milwaukee School District headquarters across the street could be remodeled into offices for commercial tenants.
